English Training for Everyone
We wanted to build a better pathway for overseas students to study in Australia. A key part of this is helping prospective students develop English Language skills. This is important for aspiring adult students; it’s also important for overseas Year 12 Leavers. So we partnered with one of Australia’s most experienced international language training colleges.
Together, we provide a way for students to learn English online from your home country, take an English test, then move smoothly into vocational education with us with a student travel visa (if borders with your country are open), or online.
Classes Available
Classes are available for:
General English (CRICOS 016907)
English for Academic Purposes (CRICOS 016908B)
Cambridge FCE preparation (CRICOS 105433B )
Cambridge CAE preparation (CRICOS 105432C)
for students, their spouses and family members.
Joint CoE
Our mutual goal is to help you develop competence and confidence in the English Language, and achieve the minimum IELTS English Language test score of 5.5. Once you achieve this milestone, you will transfer to Capital College and commence vocational training with us.
Capital College and AICOL issue a joint-CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) with clear handover dates to assist with visa and other travel preparations. You will then come to Australia with a student visa and study with us in person. If a border restriction is in place, we will train you online until travel is possible.
The AICOL Difference
You can study English with large international language school chains that pump out training to classrooms crowded with dozens of students, or you can receive tailored tuition from a high-quality English School that insists on smaller class sizes for personal attention.
The Australian International College of Language (AICOL) holds CRICOS registration 01272A, RTO registration 32060, and is an Education Queensland International - approved Top Ten Agent, and approved IELTS Pre-Test Centre. AICOL’s trainers and management team have vast experience originating from, working in, or travelling to the world’s nations.
HomeStay with a Local Family
If you want to fast track your English skills and understand the nuances of Australian culture, the HomeStay program places you in a quality home with carefully selected host families who hold a Blue Card for working with minors, issued by the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
You will be given your own bedroom and three meals a day, seven days a week. Host families provide opportunities outside the classroom for practice and cultural exchange. This is a simpler, safer and more economical alternative to arriving in a new country, arranging your own accommodation, furniture and meals, and trying to find a support network. With HomeStay, you get it all, right away.
HomeStay host families are not all Caucasian. Many have made their own migration to Australia and now live as first- or second-generation citizens. They will speak English to you at all times. Their family structure is also diverse, from sole adults, to couples, to families with children, pets and different cultural foods. We will match you to the most appropriate family for your stay.
